Initiation Rites

I am a dead horse

I am a dead horse

Fannie has been known to engage in deep conversation with Imaginary Buggles and Dots of Light. But her greatest joy is kicking up her legs and sticking her tongue out at a world that doesn’t get her. Perhaps it’s because of the brain damage at birth- but I like to think it’s all part of her act.

I believe she is trying to disguise her membership in a hidden society that secretly runs the world. She has taken up residence at Cat Welfare of Central Ohio, where she plays cute. But I have captured what could be her initiation ceremony when she was admitted to the thirty-third degree just last month.

Now Hear Me, Can You?

Crikey, it’s a four-eared cat.

No, this kitty (named Yoda) wasn’t found in the woods of Georgia and then stuffed in a freezer, he was found in a bar in Chicago and adopted by Valerie and Ted Rock.

‘Yoda’s hearing is normal as far as we know,’ says Valerie. ‘People do a double take when they see him or his picture. It is great fun showing him off.

I’m sure it is… did I mention that it’s a cat with four ears?

Kitteh Handling Caution

But he’s just sleeping (or kitteh meditating) with his eyes wide open… and in one of those positions that makes LOLcat owners everywhere ask “how can that possibly be comfortable?
